Deal details
To secure its long-term growth, the family-owned enterprise ARNTZ GmbH & Co. KG has completed a capital increase in the amount of € 4.9 M by acquiring a minority shareholder.
After 225 years of business history and after 20 years of focusing on its future saw band business, ARNTZ has continued its path of growth as one of the leading manufacturers for high-end saw bands. ARNTZ succeeded in finding an adequate cooperation partner for a capital increase with the aim to improve the company’s competitiveness and to improve its financial strength for future investments. The cooperation partner of ARNTZ is internationally operating and stock exchange listed and therefore lays the foundation to enlarge ARNTZ’s sales network.
As part of a capital increase, the company Bichamp Cutting Technology Co., Ltd. with its headquarters in Hunan, China is going to invest EUR 4.9 M. (USD 5.7 M.) in the company ARNTZ. With this investment, Bichamp will hold 28% of the company’s shares. In cooperation with Bichamp, ARNTZ will increase its focus on investments and innovations in the area of middle-and upper quality segments for saw bands.
The aim of the cooperation is to improve the future development capabilities without changing the management. Moreover, also the products with their quality brand “Made in Germany” will remain unchanged. Therefore, the company’s tradition and its high-quality standards as a German family-owned enterprise in the 7th generation will not be impaired. Furthermore, ARNTZ aims to offer its customers alternatives in the entry-level price segment for modest cutting jobs.
The team of CVM Capital Value Management GmbH led by the managing partner Jörg Schuppener accompanied the family-owned enterprise ARNTZ during the entire structured process of developing a new financial solution.
