The company is certified for the development, production and maintenance of aircraft and aircraft parts – only about 10 other companies offer this service portfolio in Germany. In August 2018, the management of Gomolzig Flugzeug- und Maschinenbau GmbH filed for insolvency at the local court in Hagen. On 30th August 2018, the local court in Hagen appointed lawyer, Dr. Peter Neu from ATN – d'Avoine Teubler, as the solicitor over the assets of the company. 
In May 2018, the assets of the insolvent company were sold to ACC COLUMBIA Jet Service GmbH. The company takes on all employees. ACC COLUMBIA Jet Service GmbH is a leading aircraft repair and maintenance organisation for small, midsize and large cabin private aviation and transport category aircraft. 
The management mandated CVM Capital Value Management GmbH to support the search for an investor for the insolvent company. The CVM team led by Kai Peppmeier conducted the entire sales process, from the identification of potential investors and the selection of the ideal partner to the successful finalization of the transaction in May 2018.
